The songs you found utterly boring as a youngster suddenly have so much meaning and depth.
The foods that you found boring as a kid are now better than anything else found outside.

Hours and hours of mindless entertainment is now exhaustive and uninteresting…
Often seen as “bad” signs of aging. But come on, it is all for good, you are wiser and your decisions, intentional.
Exercise attenuates the major hallmarks of aging* but that information is boring for most. “We’ll see what happens about that later.. why worry now?” That is the response I’ll get to hear most!
The most common “nakhare…” “nataka…” excuses;- I won’t be able to eat my favorite foods and once I stop exercising my weight will come back, I don’t need exercise because I am thin anyway!.. Etc.
The exact opposite is true, as a matter of fact, you will be able to indulge in your most favorite foods every once in a while and feel maximum satisfaction when you are in a fit body.
Exercise increases endorphins, which keeps you in a very cool-stable state of mind for the rest of the day.
The purpose of exercise is not just to reduce or increase your mass. Think about more important things like the strength of your bones, the quality of your arteries, the connections of your nerves, then next in line- the silkiness of your hair, the softness of your skin, the shining of your nails…
Exercise makes your body resilient to external forces.
The more pressure you’re able to take, the harder it is to crush you. And that’s so true! But it cannot happen overnight. None of this is child’s play, none of this is to be done for fun, none of it is to be taken lightly.
But Mayuri.. aren’t we supposed to enjoy our workouts?

Absolutely, yes. But there is a major difference in doing it for fun and doing it for self growth. We train seriously. We have fun with the process, we enjoy the small increments and wins along the way.
We don’t want to chase an acute high. We want to chase delight in our movements and long-term success in fitness.
There is nothing more devastating to hear than doing a crash diet and saying that I’ve taken a positive step towards my fitness journey.
It’s time to let go of those thoughts which are telling you that you can never change for the better and instead try something more sustainable, like following a plan that you can go for at least 8 weeks at a time. Picking healthier food options, being aware of the portions and also letting a ripple effect off of you to motivate others for the same.
There’s a reason to pick a good coaching program when you opt for one. I’m not saying just to get mine, whoever you choose as your coach should reflect these qualities and help you to become more confident of your own abilities.
Love!
