Sometimes You Learn Nothing!

Even though it feels awesome to put forth the “takeaways”, “learnings”, “ideas” from experiences, sometimes you still end up with nothing much to talk about at the end of the week.

Observations take up all the energy. And you have no urge left to speak about everything that unfolded.

Then what is all the hurry to share about anyway?

Still think you need to make things up just to feel like something happened in life?

“Work hard and play harder” is applicable only when you know how to relax just as well. Aah? Nobody teaches us that. Because it need not be taught, we understand when we need to slow down, right? Recharge and introspect.

Only after many over use injuries, burn outs, seeing other people suffer and having a hard time finding themselves (not counting myself out) back only because they gave themselves away too much, too fast, do I see the importance or learning to say NO, without any explanation.

Making a sustained effort is hardly ever as attractive as making a big deal about a small victory which will be forgotten faster than it came.

It is seemingly cool to achieve milestones like when you graduate or get married but hardly anyone cares for what you envisioned for Your unique life, if it is turning out the way you saw it or are you also getting sucked into the mundane. It may sound negative as it is, but mundane is now a norm.. so even if you are suffering your decisions you may not feel noticed. I know it’s weird and it feels like the social structure is a trap but believe me there are people out there who are not just opportunists but operate from something deeper than that. Who feel before they act. And one thing I’ve learnt is that you don’t even have to go find them. You just end up with them after you stop searching for them.

So,

Where are we going from here? Coming back to the title!

The motivation to do your thing and the health needed to sustain it for life. That is what I’m talking about. It is the crux of today’s read for you!

Silence is really teaching me lessons of late, there’s no need to force anything. I think the outdoor fitness home project I’m working on has found it’s way of bringing me closer to my inner voice, nature does it’s thing for you very smoothly, for which I will be forever grateful.

I love to ask myself these 3 questions just to “come back” to what motivates and moves me most. Ask yourselves.

  1. What is my current passion project?

  2. How far do I see myself from my “ideal self”? And remind myself to be that person.

  3. Am I able to make some time for at least 2 or if possible 3 of my hobbies that I seriously don’t want to do without in life.

Having said that, I may be completely wrong in my approach in pushing myself toward those things that keep me “lighter on my feet” or happy with my own company.

I don’t intend to teach anything nor do I intend to learn something unless it comes from a place of genuinely sharing. SO sometimes, you hear them speak a lot but you learn nothing.

It’s Gudi Padwa so hope you’ve had your Gudi’s high up and soaring! Here’s to genuinely continuing to share with you everything fitness, wellness and health!

Thanks for reading! Share it with someone who will enjoy it!
